With Socioh, you can schedule a post or share it immediately on Instagram.
However, posting on Instagram works differently than posting on any other social media channel via Socioh. This is because Instagram does not allow third party apps to post directly to their platform.

Download both the Instagram app and the Socioh mobile app on your phone.
What you need to know
On the iOS app store, the Socioh mobile app is called OrangeTwig. On Android, it’s Socioh. Make sure you ‘Allow’ Socioh/OrangeTwig to send you phone notifications, otherwise the Instagram posting won’t work.

Log in to the Socioh/OrangeTwig mobile app with the same credentials you use to log in to the desktop version of Socioh.

Create your Instagram post through Product Poster (see our playbook on Create a Product Poster), and schedule or post it.
What you need to know
Whether you’ve created Instagram posts through the Sale, Daily Deal, Coupons marketing plan, or Product Poster or through the text box on the dashboard, the process of sharing posts on Instagram is the same.

At the scheduled or immediate time of posting, you will get a notification from the Socioh/OrangeTwig app on your phone.
What you need to know
If the Socioh/OrangeTwig app is open on your phone, you won’t get a notification. So make sure you’re not in the mobile app at the scheduled or posting time.

Tap the phone notification. It will open up the Instagram post you want to share. Select ‘Continue Posting’.

There are a couple of important steps here.

The caption from your original post has automatically been copied. Click on ‘I Understand’ to approve.

A pop-up will open up. Select the ‘Instagram’ option (DO NOT click on ‘Copy to Instagram’), and ‘Paste’ the caption.

Click on ‘Share’.
Socioh Tip
The mobile app makes it easy for you to keep track of the Instagram posts you have scheduled or missed. You’ll find these two tabs inside the app:
- Scheduled – All posts scheduled via Socioh/OrangeTwig appear in Scheduled before they are published. If you don’t want to wait for a post to go out at the scheduled time, click on ‘Post now’ under it and publish it right away. Under the ‘More’ option you can also save the image to your phone or copy the caption text for use elsewhere.
- Past -. Click on the Past tab to view all posts scheduled through Socioh. These are posts whose scheduled time has passed or posts that have already been published. If you’ve missed a phone notification or if you want to republish, go to the ‘Repost’ option and follow the same posting process. You can also save the image to your phone or copy the caption text for use elsewhere, under the ‘More’ option.
