Org104: Change Products in your Poster

Easily pick a different product image for your poster.

Once you have picked a template that you like, our software automatically fits a product in it. Here’s a walkthrough on how you can choose a different product for your poster.

Changing your product:

1. Once your poster has been created, you’ll see a ‘Change Products’ option right below it. Click on that.

2. This will open up a pop-up with 4 different tabs –

   1. Best Fit
   2. All Products
   3. My Uploads
   4. Library

3. Under Best Fit you’ll find a filtered list of products from your store that are best suited for the template variation that you’re currently using. This is analyzed on the basis of the product image’s dimensions.

   Hover over an image and click on ‘Use’ if you want to change your product.

   What you need to know

   Most templates have 7 size variations.

   All variations include the same design elements, but are suitable for products with different image dimensions. For instance, wide product photos are better suited to our horizontal variations while longer product photos will be fitted into our vertical variations. The ‘best fit’ tab automatically selects products based on your selected variation.

   Socioh Tip

   We recommend that you select products from the Best Fit category for a particular template variation as this will ensure that your posters don’t go out on social media with cropped or distorted images of your products.

4. All Products will display every product from your store, that you can filter through Collections/Sections or through the ‘Search’ bar.

   Socioh Tip

   If your products come in different variations, you’ll get to see all of them and be able to pick the variation of your choice. For instance, if you sell t-shirts and each t-shirt comes in a variety of colors, you can choose the particular colour of the t-shirt you want displayed on your poster.

5. You’ll find all your previously uploaded images under My Uploads. If you want to upload a new product image, you can do it through here as well. You have the option to upload a new image straight from your computer or through Dropbox.

   Socioh Tip

   If you’re picking out a brand new image, remember to tag it to a product. So that when customers click on the link that goes out with the poster on social media, they will land on the product page of the item you’re promoting.

6. The Library is a collection of handpicked images by Socioh. Here you have the option to choose photos, or textures for your image backgrounds.

   Socioh Tip

   • If you opt for texture, make sure you go to ‘Edit Template’ and customize it with text or image. See our playbook on Customizing a Product Poster.
   • Here you won’t automatically get to see the ‘Tag Product’ checkbox while changing your image. We recommend that once you’ve saved the new image, you click on the ‘Tag Product’ option below the poster and make your edits accordingly. This will ensure that your customers land on the right product page.

7. Aside from these 4 tabs, you’ll also see the option to select a thumbnail. If your product has multiple images, you have the option to pick the image that you like best.

8. If you pick a product whose dimensions don’t match the template you’re using for your poster, you’ll be automatically prompted with a template that is more suitable.

   Socioh Tip

   We always recommend picking templates and products that fit each other best.

9. Click ‘Save’ and schedule or post right away.
