Why is my catalog match rate low?

Meta recommends running only one catalog (preferably full-shop) to preserve learnings and use product sets to target specific products or collections. This will help maintain a desirable match rate.

Additionally, your low match rate could also be because of one of three reasons:

  1. The ‘Content ID’ of the product in the Meta pixel event needs to be the same as the ‘Item Group ID’ for that product in the catalog. If these IDs do not match, Meta will have difficulty serving the right products to the right user.
  2. The pixel in the Events tab for your Catalog is not connected to the same pixel that you are using on your website. 
  3. Your product catalog is incomplete.
